About the brand: Alex Marshall Studios is an exploration into conceptual ideas. One of Alex (the artist)'s favorite themes is the notion of one in many, repeating the same form over and over with varying results. Alex’s touch influences every piece; from shaping to firing to glazing, each step is an opportunity to create nuance, which creates products that are as individual as the people using them. Alex Marshall Studios is located on an olive orchard in the northern central valley of California. Owned by a husband and wife design duo, the orchard has over 600 olive trees and is surrounded by other olive orchards and grazing lands. The duo's commitment to sustainability is evident in their green production facility that uses solar power and lead-free, locally-sourced materials. Alex Marshall Studios believes "longevity is green” which drives their desire to create pieces that last.
